Nokia Plans to Ship 35 Million GPS-Enabled Handsets in 2008

Nokia’s head of Location-Based Services, Michael Halbherr, recently stated at the Where 2.0 conference in California that the company has plans to ship 35 million GPS-enabled devices this year alone. Nokia’s Maps GPS software is currently available for its S60-powered smartphones, with a version for non-smartphones expected later this year.
