It’s getting to be worse news every day for land lines. People are used to wireless, and are making most of their phone calls via cell phone. According to a new study released by the government, nearly 3 out of 10 people are basically wireless only.

In fact, wireless only households grew by 2% in the quarter. Even people who own landlines admit they never use them, because of the fear of being hassled by phone solicitors.
Even more amazingly, 2% of households reported having no phones at all. How they completed the survey is anybody’s guess.
The march of cell phones continues unabated.
