Website XboxFamily.com dropped a rumor this week that peripheral maker Gyration is developing a motion-sensitive add-on for the existing Xbox 360 controller. Microsoft has yet to utter a word regarding this rumor, but could the Big N have finally ruffled Microsoft’s feathers? [XboxFamily via Next-Gen via Kotaku]

Just a few days ago we learned that Sony Australia would dish out a free Playstation 3 with the purchase of any Bravia 1080p LCD TV. It appears that Sony has now expanded the program to include the U.S.—albeit with a few “minor” changes. Unfortunately if you want to score this deal in the States you have to apply for a Sony Card in addition to purchasing a select Sony HDTV. So, if you were in the market for a SonyCard, a Sony HDTV and a PS3 you are golden. Better hurry though, the promotion ends on Dec. 31st. [Sony Thanks Stephen!]

A Giz reader entered into a San Francisco Best Buy today and was confronted with the image above. An open box Razer Lachesis Gaming Mouse for $71.99 ($8 off regular price) when they are clearly on sale for $59.99. Naturally, Best Buy customer service sprung into action stating that they cannot change the price of an open item, there are none left in the back, and all of the managers were conveniently in “a meeting.”
I did a little research and discovered that all Razer gaming controllers are, in fact, on sale through the 29th — but with the following disclaimer:
*Markdowns taken from regular prices. Excludes special order, clearance, demo and open-box items. Selection varies by store. Rainchecks on insert items only.
What the hell? I’m sure that there is some sort of explanation for this, but I’m also sure that it is ridiculous. [Thanks Daniel!]

According to Hacking Netflix, select Netflix subscribers have been receiving emails over the past few weeks granting them access to unlimited Watch Instantly hours. They have also increased the number of titles available on the service to 6000 —presumably in anticipation of a full-scale rollout. Keep in mind that this is only a rumor at this point so we have to ask —did you happen to receive an email like this? [Hacking Netflix via Zats]
