Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U EV-DO Rev. A Modem for Verizon

Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of the Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U USB modem, providing access to its high-speed Evolution-Data Optimized Revision A (EV-DO Rev. A) network. The AirCard 595U modem is compatible with USB ports on most notebook and desktop computers and can be connected through the included docking cradle, which provides an alternative for customers without PCMCIA card slots.

Customers using the AirCard 595U modem can expect average download speeds of 600 kbps to 1.4 Mbps and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps. With these speeds a customer can typically download a 1 MB email attachment in about eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds. The AirCard 595U modem comes with VZAccess Manager software, which is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating systems.
